Label design and branding project for Juan del Campo, a Mexican whiskey that pays tribute to farmers México’s most emblematic produce, corn.

Juan del Campo is a whiskey brand that pays tribute to farmers and the people that work the land. It’s also a celebration of México’s most iconic produce; maíz. The design puts these two characters up front, with illustrated details and ornaments. The label is printed, embossed and hot stamped with gold and copper foil (depending on the corn variation and color palette).

Illustrated elements include Juan, the personification of the Mexican farmer, the beautiful corn plant, the copper distillation pots and the Mexican sun. The goal was to create a premium looking bottle, without losing the rustic color and feeling of a handmade product.
